Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour rotating shifts including Days, Evenings, Nights, weekends, and holidays. On-Call and Callback responsibilities may apply.

Job Description

Join a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED) at a state-of-the-art facility that manages over 100,000 visits a year, recognized as one of the busiest trauma centers in the nation and the only Level I trauma hospital in the area. You will be responsible for providing care to a diverse patient population, including assistance with boarder patients.

Please note that this Emergency Room does not support first-time travelers.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Assess patient needs and coordinate appropriate interventions.
• Assist with patient evaluations and administer treatments as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License in New York State.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Previous travel Emergency Room experience is mandatory.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association. NIHSS is also required.
